Retirement from Partnership Announcement

A Message from Dr Cooper

Dear Patients

In March 2019 I will have been at Newbridge Surgery for 30 years. After so long, it feels the right time to announce my retirement from the partnership at the end of August 2018.

It is time for the young, energetic clinicians to shape the future of Newbridge Surgery and for me to have more time for my elderly Mother, to visit my grown-up children and have time for my garden, my allotment, cycling, walking and being creative.

However, the partnership has offered me a role in the practice as an assistant working two shorter days to enable me to slowly adjust to retirement and to provide some continuity and stability as we have had many staff changes during this year. I am really keen to stay here for a little while longer as I enjoy my work. I have got to know many of you well and it has been a privilege to care for you, on life’s journey with all its ups and downs.

I will continue to be a GP trainer, to fit coils and implants, to do joint injections and minor surgery and shall look forward to seeing you in my new role from October.

Best Wishes

Susan Cooper
